April 29

Spring is settling in, which has us spending our days outside in the sun.  Warm again, warm again, jiggity jig!

We continue to prepare beds using the broad fork, compost, and seaweed.  And we’re busy planting away.  Already in the ground are a variety of vegetables including carrots, leeks, arugula, kale, bok choi, broccoli, cabbage, and turnips.

One hundred laying hens were added to our community this week and the piglets are getting bigger by the day.  Shirley’s puppies, eyes still shut, remain palm sized snugglers.  They’ll be curious little puff balls in no time!

Shares are running out quickly, so don’t miss your opportunity to join us for another great season:  2013 Milkweed CSA Application
