The farm has been well watered this week.  We appreciate everyone’s help through the rain.  Nothing stops you guys!

This week’s basket includes broccoli, beets, garlic scapes, kohlrabi, lettuce mix, swiss chard, and kale.  Below are some recipe ideas and pictures from the week.  Click on the link for the website, so you can view the pictures and post in a more pleasing format- Enjoy!

Lucretia’s Garlic Scape Pesto

  • Garlic Scapes
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Optional:
    • Parmesan Cheese
    • Nuts (walnuts, pine nuts, almonds)
    • Any other greens on hand
  1. Chop and blend garlic scapes, salt and pepper, and olive oil.
  2. Add nuts, cheese, oil, and spices to taste and texture preference.

    Surely Wish that we were near! Getting things at the Farmer’s Ma
    rket in Pittsfield from over the mountain–Hadley and Southwick. So yummy to have real fresh produce! Cheers! Tibby

  2. The evolution of Milkweed Farm is proof that with direction and will a community all can provide and nourish families with great produce, friendship and a sense of well being way beyond the norm. It is a model for others and I fell so blessed to be apart of Milkweed Farm…Thanks to all !!!
