July 10

Thanks to Michael and Finn’s ingenuity and hard work, the new walk in refrigerator is up and running!   Despite another week of showers, the tomatoes and eggplant are beginning to ripen and we’ve started planting a lot of fall crops including beets, cabbage, and spinach.  The flowers are blooming and we have started making flower bouquets for farm shares.   The weeds are also loving this rainy, warm weather, so we continue to be grateful for all of your help!

This past week, we stirred a biodynamic prep called 500 that encourages soil health and root development.  We mixed and applied it on a root day in keeping with the North Åmerican Biodynamic Planting Calendar.

Your basket this week is over flowing with goodies: radicchio, red bibb lettuce, kale, zucchini, broccoli, lettuce mix, eggplant, hukurei turnips, chard, garlic scapes, beets, and flowers.  We hope you enjoy!

Don’t forget to get your eggs and yogurt when you pick up your share.

We are carrying Swallowtail Farm’s Raw Milk Yogurt!
