In order to extend the growing season, Lucretia applied for a grant through USDA for a high tunnel.  Last week, the parts arrived from Quebec.  On Sunday, work shares came to assist in the assembly, reading the instruction manual, laying out pieces, sawing pipes, and hammering pieces into place.  The far arch is up and soon the 72 foot long tunnel will be erected and ready for spinach, greens, and more!  In addition…

Lucretia is collaborating with Swallowtail Farm Creamery to pilot a six-week full pantry winter CSA share.  Like the summer share it will be beautiful and bountiful.  This is NOT your run-of-the-mill share!  Say good-bye to the grocery store, because each week the share will include:

Veggies: Root vegetables & greens

Dairy: Yogurt, cheese, raw milk & greek yogurt

Protein: Eggs & Ground beef, lamb, or pork

A baked good: Bread, pastry, or pie

A canned good: Jam, preserves, or a pickled good

November 6th to December 11th

Pick-ups in Freeport and Brunswick

Cost of the Full Pantry six-week share is $600
