Back in the Greenhouse

The signs of spring are everywhere now; birdsong in the morning, green shoots emerging in coveted warm spots, and hawks and honeybees flying about in search of  sustenance.   Each spring it feels like it was only a few weeks ago that we were cleaning up and putting the farm to rest, but this year winter felt especially swift.   Without much cold and snow on the fields, we are already digging our spring carrots, and harvesting the last of our winter greens before replanting.   Yesterday, we planted over 8,000 onion seedlings and today we will do that much again.   We have a great crew returning this year, and a few new work shares who will be joining us this spring.    We are looking forward to a new season, and we hope that you will become a member of our community in 2016.   If you have questions please email Lucretia.
