For the past few years, we have offered a 6 week Fall Share that combines the best of what we have to offer through the late season. In this share you will receive 3-4 of our pasture raised meat birds, a dozen of our eggs each week, storage vegetables (potatoes, onions, beets, kohlrabi, winter squash, carrots and shallots) plus weekly greens like kale, chard, lettuce, spinach and cabbage. Yesterday we harvested over 30lbs. of fresh elderberries for elderberry syrup that we make with our own honey. We have infused that same delicious honey in sacred basil, and have started a fresh ferment of apple cider vinegar with our garlic, cayenne peppers, thyme and many other immune supportive herbs. The share will include a quart of Wholesome Holmsteads amazing yogurt each week, and a variety of cheeses from their farm, and Bard Owl Creamery, a local goat/sheep farm. In addition to all of this, there will be more from our farm fields and kitchen. We have been working to preserve and raise the best that our farm has to offer at this time of year.
The share will begin on Thursday, October 27 and run for 6 weeks, ending Thursday, December 1. The week of Thanksgiving, the share will be ready on Tuesday. The cost of the share is $550.
